Where supported by your transit agency, ScanRide makes paying your fare and boarding easier in just three steps.
Note: ScanRide is new functionality that has not yet been adopted by Umo transit agencies, but as they opt for this new functionally, they will be listed here.
ScanRide is not compatible with vehicles that have reader hardware installed. If the vehicle you are boarding has a reader, simply tap your card or scan your code using Umo App to pay your fare.
Here’s how ScanRide works:
- Create a Umo App Account or Sign In to your Existing Account
- Add Stored Value or Purchase a Pass
- Scan the Static QR code and Pay for your Fare
Create a Umo Account or Sign In to your Existing Account
Once you have downloaded and installed the Umo App, you can create an account by opening the Umo App, tapping Create a new account > Create an account using your mobile number or your email address.
To sign in to your existing account, tap Sign In > Sign in using your mobile number, TouchPass username or your email address and password.
Add Stored Value or Purchase a Pass
You can add stored value (to deposit funds into your Umo Wallet to pay for your trip) or by a pass by going to Wallet > Buy > Add Money or Add Pass.
Scan the ScanRide QR Code and Pay for your Fare
You can scan the ScanRide QR code by going to Code > Scan > Scan the ScanRide QR code for fare payment. The correct fare amount and a confirmation screen will be displayed in the app. ScanRide transactions should appear in your transaction history in Umo App.
