I received a "Something Went Wrong" error message (Apple Pay / Google Pay)
If you received a "Something went wrong" error message when attempting to make purchases with Apple or Google Pay, your charge might appear to be accepted, but it is then reversed, and the transaction fails. Please note the following (below).
Why did I receive this error?
It's possible that the billing address associated with your credit or debit card used for Apple or Google Pay is incorrect, and you will need to correct it.
Different transit agencies have different address restrictions for payments. Even though your Apple Pay / Google Pay may work at other locations, your transit agency's payment-verification process might deny the transaction due to an incorrect billing address. Although your charge might appear to be accepted, it is then reversed, and the transaction fails.
How to correct your attempted transaction
- Verify that your payment method is accepted by your local transit agency – It's possible that your local transit agency does not accept the payment method that you are attempting to use. (For example: it's possible that they do not currently accept commuter check cards, American Express, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Venmo, FSA or HSA cards.)
- Verify that your billing address is correct – If you received a Something went wrong error message when attempting to make purchases with Apple or Google Pay, it's possible that the billing address associated with your credit or debit card used for Apple or Google Pay is incorrect, and you will need to correct it.
