What is Umo Account Linking?
Account Linking allows you to link your Umo Card transit account with other Umo Card riders' transit accounts.
What are the benefits of Account Linking?
Account linking allows you to link your account with another rider's account so that you can purchase Umo Passes or Stored Value on their behalf and have them instantly appear on their Umo Card accounts.
Is there an amount limit I can add to an account I've linked to?
The amount is based on your transit agency’s fare policy. Contact your transit agency for more information.
Can I use the pass or stored value from one of the accounts I've linked to?
No. Only the person you've linked to and on whose behalf you've purchased Stored Value or a Umo Pass can use the fare products you've purchased for them through the Account Linking feature.
Where can I use Account Linking?
First, you must have a Umo Card account. Then, sign into your Umo account at umopass.com for U.S. riders (non-U.S. riders can log in here), then go to My Wallet > Linked Accounts > Link an Account. For detailed instructions, click here.
How many accounts can I link to?
There is no limit to how many accounts you can link too.
Can a receive fare products from an account I've linked to?
You can only send fare products — you cannot receive fare product from the account you've linked to.
How is the person I've linked to notified that I've linked to their account?
Account linking and fare product purchases will appear in both your and the linked-to person's account transaction histories.
How do I know who is sending fares to my Umo account?
The transaction history will show fare products that are sent to another rider's account. The last four digits of the account number that purchased fare products for you will appear, but not their name. If you're unsure of a sender, you can unlink your account any time or contact their transit agency.
