You can link your Umo account to another rider's Umo account — to buy stored value or passes for them — by going to the Umo Passenger Portal or the Umo App.
In the Passenger Portal (umopass.com for U.S. riders, and ca.umopass.com for non-U.S. riders), go to My Wallet > Link an Account > OK
In the Umo App, go to Wallet > Linked Accounts > Link an Account.

Link your Umo account to another in the Passenger Portal:
- Log in to the Umo Passenger Portal:

- On the My Wallet tab, under Linked Accounts, click Link an Account.
- In the Link an account window, enter the Umo or InComm card number that you want to link to.
- (Optional) Create a nickname for the link-to account, so you can easily refer to it.
- Once you've entered the link-to card number, click Link an Account.
The linked account now appears under Accounts You Can Purchase For on the My Wallet tab, and you can purchase passes and stored value on their behalf.
Link your Umo account to another in the Umo App:
- Log in to the Umo App.
- Tap Wallet

- Click the Linked Accounts tab.

Tap Link an Account. You have the following options:
the linked user's card code, account code, or QR code.
- Manually enter the account number.

Once the account has been entered in the app, a confirmation screen will display. Tap Ok and complete the following fields:
- Nickname: Enter a nickname for the receiving user.
- Profile icon: Select a profile icon

- Tap the Save button.
The linked account now appears under Accounts You Can Purchase For in your Wallet
. You can now purchase passes and stored value on the behalf of the linked account.
Buy a pass or stored value for an account you've linked to in the Passenger Portal
- Log in to the Umo Passenger Portal:

- ca.umopass.com for non-U.S. riders.
- On the My Wallet tab, under Linked Accounts, click Buy next to the linked-to account you want to add stored value or passes for.
- Click either Buy a Pass or Stored Value.

- To buy a pass for the linked-to account, select the pass you want to purchase for them.
- To buy stored value for the linked-to account, select the stored-value amount you want to purchase, or click Choose a custom amount.

If either the Buy a Pass or Stored Value option is not visible, it may not be available through your local transit agency.
- On the Order Details screen, under Payment Method, enter your payment method, or select Saved Payment Method.
- Under Payment Details, review your Card and Billing Information details.
- (Optional) To save this payment method for future Umo purchases, click Save Payment.
- Once you have entered all card-related payment information, click Purchase.
Once you finalize your purchase, the linked-to recipient receives notification of the pass or stored value you purchased for them.
Buy a pass or stored value for an account you've linked to in the Umo App
- Log in to the Umo App.
- Tap Wallet
> Linked Accounts.
- Tap Buy next to the linked-to account you want to add stored value or passes for.
- Click either Buy a Pass or Add Money.

- To buy a pass for the linked-to account, select the pass you want to purchase.
- To buy stored value for the linked-to account, select the select the stored-value amount you want to purchase, or click Choose a different amount.

If either the Buy a Pass or Stored Value option is not visible, it may not be available through your local transit agency.
- On the Review Purchase screen, under Payment Options, select your payment method, then click Continue.
- Confirm that your selected transit agency is correct and click Confirm and Pay.
Once you finalize your purchase, the linked-to recipient receives notification of the pass or stored value you purchased for them.
Unlink a Umo Account in the Passenger Portal
- Log in to the Umo Passenger Portal:

- umopass.com for U.S. riders.
- ca.umopass.com for non-U.S. riders.
- On the My Wallet tab, click Unlink Account under the Umo account you want to unlink from.
- In the Unlink Account? pop-up window, click Unlink an Account.
- In the Unlink Account Confirmation pop-up window, click OK to unlink the account.
Once you click Ok, you'll no longer be linked to that Umo account to add stored value or passes on that rider's behalf.
Unlink a Umo Account in the Umo App
- Log in to the Umo App.
- Tap Wallet

- Click the Linked Accounts tab to see the accounts you can purchase for.
- Click on Unlink Account under the Umo account you want to unlink from.
- In the Unlink Account screen, click Unlink.
- In the pop-up confirmation window, click Unlink to unlink the account.
Your account has been unlinked and you can no longer purchase stored value or passes on that rider's behalf.
