How does the Umo App work?
Once you purchase a pass or load money onto your Umo Wallet in the Umo App, scan the QR code upon boarding, which automatically applies the pass or cash balance for your journey. The Umo Reader validates your pass or deducts the amount of the fare for your trip.

How do I buy a pass on the Umo App?
You can buy a pass in the Umo App by tapping the Wallet icon . From there, tap the Buy button and select Add Pass. Select a pass and tap Purchase. If no passes display, your agency utilizes stored value instead of passes. Add a cash balance to your Umo Wallet instead.
What is a Umo Card?
A Umo Card simplifies fare payments for riders with its reloadable system, allowing convenient payment and ensuring an efficient travel experience. Once you have loaded money onto your Umo Card, tap it on the Umo Reader when boarding your bus. The Umo Card can not be used in conjunction with the Umo App.
How do I buy a pass for my Umo Card?
To buy a Umo Card pass: 1) Log in to the Umo Passenger Portal. 2.) Click Buy Value or a Pass 3) Select the pass you want to purchase 4) click Checkout 5) Select or enter your payment method 6) Review your Card and Billing Information details and click Purchase.
How do I use my Umo Card?
To use your Umo Card, hold the card within two inches and towards the bottom of the Umo Reader when boarding. Umo Readers are conveniently placed next to fare boxes on buses, enabling riders to tap their card when boarding. Once read, the display on the reader will confirm successful fare payment.
What is fare capping?
Fare capping allows you to add money to your Umo Wallet to pay for each bus ride. Once the total fares reach the cost of a pass, i.e., daily, weekly, or monthly pass, no additional fare is needed for the rest of that period.
How do I replace my lost or stolen Umo Card?
For a small fee, you can replace your lost or stolen Umo Card by visiting your local transit agency. The replacement card will retain existing passes, Umo "Account Balances," and account information upon registration, ensuring a seamless transition.
