What type of MCTS fares are available for me to purchase with the Umo App?
Although passes are not currently available you can add stored value (or "cash") to deposit money in your Umo Wallet for later use by going to Wallet > Add Cash.
Is stored value for MCTS available for purchase?
Yes. You can purchase a cash balance (to deposit money in your Umo Wallet for later use) by going to Wallet > Add Cash.
Can I purchase a pass for MCTS via the Umo App?
No. However, you can add a cash balance into your Umo Wallet for later use as payment for individual trips. In the Umo App, tap Wallet > Add Cash > and select the amount you would like to add to your Umo Wallet.
How can I plan my trip with the Umo App?
You can plan a trip by entering a destination in the Where do you want to go? field of the main Directions screen, tapping Search routes and selecting your preferred trip result.
You can purchase a cash balance (to deposit money in your Umo Wallet for later use) to pay for your trip by going to Wallet > Add Cash.
How can I track my bus with the Umo App?
You can plan a trip by entering a destination in the Where do you want to go? field of the main Directions screen, tapping Search routes and selecting your preferred trip result.
Once I’ve purchased a cash balance on the Umo App, what do I do?
Paying your fare with the Umo App uses a two-dimensional QR barcode, (also known as a "Quick Response" (QR) code or "Validation Code") that is linked to your Umo App account once you add a cash balance to your Umo Wallet.
You can access your code for trip validation by tapping Validation Code under My Wallet on the home screen or going to Wallet > Show Code.
How Does Fare Capping Work for MCTS?
Fare capping does the math for MCTS riders because each validator on the BRT route or on buses reads the card or Umo App and knows immediately how many times each person has paid a fare to ride the bus. WisGo will automatically deduct the lowest amount the rider owes.
Gone are the daily, weekly or monthly passes previously required to earn that discount. Riders get all the MCTS routes they love plus the more they ride, the more they save!
What Is the MCTS Fare Capping Structure?
The MCTS fare capping structure is simple: $2 per ride for regular fare riders that caps at $4 per day; and $1 per ride for reduced fare riders (seniors, kids ages 6–11, and those with a qualifying disability) with a cap of $2 per day. Visit RideMCTS.com/WisGo for the weekly and monthly caps.
